From Scratch Restaurant opened in 1977, a small local dinner opened by two ladies in the newly created Barnyard Shopping Village. Between 1977 and 1995 four other owners called From Scratch home. In 1995, the Grebing family purchased this gem. Chef Steve brought his vast restaurant experience and love of food to create what we have today. Since the purchase - three Grebing children have joined the family and on any given day you might see ALL three there working in the family business. We were honored to be part of the “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” Season 21 line-up. You can see us in action on Episode 3, "Cross Country Classics," showcasing our very own Chef Steve and featuring Chef Guy Fieri AND Chef Robert Irvine. If you missed the first airing on September 19, 2015, check us out on the Food Network channel or at www.foodnetwork.com.
Starting January, 2022 the torch has officially been passed to the eldest Grebing son, Matthew. He has grown up in the restaurant industry and has been running the business for several years before officially taking it over.
Matthew and his wife Nicole value and appreciate every patron we serve and will remain the same From Scratch everyone loves!
